The Resort
Riu Playa Blanca is a vibrant, all-inclusive beachfront resort located on Panama’s Pacific Coast, about 90 minutes from Panama City. Set along the golden sands of Playa Blanca, this lively resort features multiple swimming pools (including a swim-up bar), a full water park, daily entertainment, and a long stretch of walkable beach—perfect for relaxing, socializing, or soaking in stunning ocean sunsets.
Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including buffet and specialty restaurants offering Italian, Asian, and grill-style cuisine, along with several bars spread throughout the resort for easy access to cocktails and refreshments day or night. With its energetic atmosphere, tropical setting, and endless activities, Riu Playa Blanca is ideal for travelers looking to balance fun, relaxation, and connection.
Each standard resort room offers clean, comfortable accommodations with either two double beds or one king bed, along with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a programmable safe, and a minibar that is restocked regularly. Rooms also include a private balcony or terrace with seating, perfect for enjoying the warm coastal breezes. Bathrooms feature a walk-in shower, hairdryer, and fresh towels provided daily.
Bedding preference (2 doubles / 1 king) will be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
Food & Drink
You’ll never go hungry at Riu Playa Blanca! This all-inclusive resort offers multiple themed restaurants alongside a large international buffet, giving you plenty of variety throughout your stay. Each day brings new flavours and options, making it easy to mix things up or stick with your favourites.
The breakfast and lunch buffets are extensive and constantly refreshed, featuring hot and cold selections, live cooking stations, fresh salads, pizzas, pastas, local dishes, and a tempting dessert bar. With so many choices, it’s nearly impossible to eat the same meal twice.
When it comes to drinks, Riu Playa Blanca has several bars located throughout the resort—including a swim-up bar—so a refreshing cocktail is always within reach. Enjoy unlimited local and imported beverages, premium branded drinks, and expertly mixed cocktails served day and night, all included in your stay.
Excursions

One day of our trip we will head out on a Panama City Tour to discover the highlights of Panama’s vibrant capital on this engaging full-day excursion that blends history, culture, and modern marvels into one unforgettable experience. The tour begins with a guided exploration of Casco Viejo, Panama City’s historic old town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll see beautifully restored colonial buildings, charming plazas, and iconic landmarks.
Next, you’ll visit the Amador Causeway, a scenic roadway extending into the Pacific with great views and opportunities to shop for local crafts in colourful markets. The adventure culminates at the Panama Canal, one of the most impressive engineering achievements in the world. At the Miraflores Visitor Center, your guide will share insights into how the canal operates and why it’s so significant globally.
This tour offers a comprehensive look at the city’s past and present—perfect for first-time visitors who want to experience the best of Panama City in one day.
On another day, we will head out on the Embera Indigenous Excursion. This immersive cultural excursion takes you deep into Panama’s lush Chagres National Park to visit an authentic Emberá indigenous community. You’ll begin by traveling to the Chagres River and boarding a piragua (traditional canoe) for a scenic ride through the rainforest, where your guide will share stories about the region and point out wildlife and natural features along the way.
Once you arrive in the village of Parará Purú, you’ll be welcomed by the Emberá people and have the chance to learn about their traditional way of life, homes, customs, music, and dance. You can participate in cultural activities, listen to indigenous music, and interact with community members.
The tour also includes a delicious lunch featuring local dishes, and you’ll be able to purchase handmade handicrafts as souvenirs before returning. This experience is suitable for all ages and offers a meaningful glimpse into Panama’s Indigenous heritage and rainforest environment.
We have arrange 2 wonderful group excursions to choose from! One excursion is included in your package price. Can’t decide and want to do them both? No problem! Add on the second excursion for just $100 pp.
Workshops & Activities
While your vacation is certainly yours to do with what you want, we have added in some fun programs, workshops and parties exclusively available to RMR guests for you to join at anytime to make the most of your week away!
Every morning we will offer activities to start your day! Maybe you want to try a hot new fitness trend before you hit the beach or take part in a mindful meditation. Perhaps a little friendly competition will get your blood pumping in our sandcastle building contest, or you’ll create a masterpiece in our guided art workshop. If reflection is more your thing, breathe and relax during a sunrise yoga session on the beach or reflect and make goals for the future in our guided journaling workshop. Whatever you fancy, mornings are a great time to reconnect with the group and chat about your previous day.
Each afternoon around 3pm we will have optional activities like you can attend if you need a break from the sun, like a resort wide Scavenger Hunt (winnner gets some spending cash!), Dance Lessons, Jewelry Making, Mixology Classes, or ramp it up and set your thrill metre to high as you cheer each other on during our Water Games!
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Evenings at our Tropical Girls Getaway are filled with entertainment and dancing! After dinner each night we will either be checking out the giant stage shows often featuring Magicians, Acrobats, or renditions of Broadway Musicals or jumping into the themed dance parties hosted by the resort!
