September 26-28, 2025 – Camp Riverview, Boulter, ON (near Bancroft)

Step away from the busyness of life and rediscover your connection to the natural world. Over three days at Camp Riverview, you’ll dive into hands-on workshops in fire building, shelter construction, foraging, animal tracking, navigation, and water purification. Guided by experienced instructors, you’ll build confidence in the outdoors while enjoying hearty camp meals, evening campfires, and the peace of Ontario’s wilderness. This retreat is more than a getaway—it’s a chance to recharge, learn timeless skills, and reconnect with your wild side.

Registration Costs

ReWilding Weekend registration cost is $295 + HST

Here’s the breakdown and what is Included:

* 6 camp meals & snacks (Friday dinner thru Sunday Lunch)

* 2 nights rustic cabin accommodations

* Nature & Wilderness based workshops and all equipment 

* Evening group activities & campfires

* Access to all other camp activities (trails, canoeing, kayaking, archery etc)

Location – Camp Riverview

Welcome to Camp Riverview, nestled in breathtaking Boulter, Ontario, along the serene shores of the Little Mississippi River. Surrounded by acres of untouched wilderness and bordered by vast crown land, it’s the perfect setting to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with the wild.

Here, the forest, river, and rugged landscapes become your classroom. Learn to build fires, track animals, forage for edible plants, and navigate using map and compass—all in a setting that’s as peaceful as it is adventurous. The calm waters invite quiet reflection, while the towering trees and rocky outcrops challenge you to expand your skills and confidence outdoors.

Days are spent exploring, building, and learning in the wild, while evenings bring hearty camp meals, fireside conversations, and starry skies. It’s a chance to reset, recharge, and rediscover the self-reliance and freedom that comes from living closer to nature.

This isn’t just a weekend getaway—it’s an immersion in the skills, knowledge, and spirit that connect us back to the land.

Wild Based Workshops

🌲 Wilderness Basics & Trip Planning

Kick off your weekend by learning the essentials of safe and successful outdoor adventures. From choosing the right gear and packing efficiently to trip planning and safety protocols, this session sets the foundation for your time in the wild.

🧭 Navigation Walk

Head out for an evening exploration and introduction to map and compass use. Learn basic wayfinding and test your skills as daylight fades, building confidence to navigate in low light conditions.

🔥 Fire Skills

Master one of the most vital survival tools—fire. Practice starting fires in different conditions using matches, ferro rods, and natural tinder, then learn how to safely cook over an open flame.

🐾 Animal Tracking & Awareness

Step into the role of a nature detective. Identify tracks, scat, and other wildlife signs while gaining a deeper understanding of animal behavior, awareness, and safety practices in the wild.

🌿 Foraging & Plant Identification

Discover the edible bounty of the forest. Learn how to safely identify wild plants and berries, understand which to avoid, and build confidence in sourcing food from nature.

🏕️ Shelter Building

Hands-on learning at its best. Explore how to choose a safe site and construct an emergency shelter using natural materials, then put your skills to the test in a group challenge.

🌌 Night Skills & Star Navigation

As darkness falls, tap into your senses in new ways. Explore how to move safely at night, practice awareness skills, and get an introduction to star navigation around the campfire.

💧 Water Safety & Purification

Find and create safe drinking water in the wild. Learn techniques from boiling to modern filtration tools, and understand how to choose safe sources.

What to Bring

A full packing list will be provided to your prior to your ReWilding Weekend, but as a snapshot, to make the most of your Rewilding Weekend you will need to bring:

  • Small 1–2 person tent or hammock tent (available to borrow if needed)

  • Hiking Backpack
  • Sleeping bag suited for cool fall nights

  • Sleeping pad or mat for comfort

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (layers recommended)

  • Sturdy footwear (hiking boots or trail shoes)

  • Reusable water bottle & personal mug

  • Non-Breakable Dishes (plate/bowl) + cutlery
  • Flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries

  • Personal toiletries & towel

  • Notebook & pen (for field notes and plant ID)

All technical gear for workshops (fire kits, navigation tools, water filters, etc.) will be provided.
