In this hectic, busy world, sometimes we don’t get a chance to prioritize time with our Children. We only get 18 glorious years with them before they become adults themselves, so now is the time to connect, make those memories and have a blast doing it!
Rustic Mama Retreats Ultimate Family Getaway is the perfect place for you to relax, refresh and reconnect with your children and extended family. You’ll all get the chance to engage in a variety of amazing sessions together such as fun fitness activities, sign making and jewelry making workshops, paddle-boarding, archery, tree-top trekking, dance parties and the opportunity to partake in workshops taught by talented guest speakers on a variety of topics, all designed to be fun, exciting and allow you to relax and make those deeper connections.
Sessions and Workshops
There is something for everyone at our Family Retreat. The biggest problem you’ll have is choosing which session to sign up for! Fun, adventure, education, friendship and relaxation await you at our Ultimate Family Getaway!
Maybe you’ll spend the morning creating a masterpiece! Take a guided painting workshop, or try your hand at making a rustic wooden sign, paracord survival bracelets or an authentic dream-catcher.
Adventure more you and your family’s thing? Breathe and relax during a yoga session, cheer each other on as you tackle a state of the art high-ropes course or touch the sky by scaling and rappelling the 30′ tall rock climbing wall! Take your aim in the archery field or push yourself to tackle one of the most fun zip lines in Canada!
The fun doesn’t stop there! Evenings at Rustic Mama Retreats are filled with entertainment! From Friday night entertainers and games to an epic Saturday night dance party! We’ve got the perfect recipe for exciting evenings!
Registration Costs
At Rustic Mama Retreats we strive to be affordable and accessible to families everywhere. We don’t want anyone to miss out on the fun! While some retreats offer programming of this kind for $1500-$2500, we’ve worked hard to offer great value for a much lower cost!
Family Retreat Registration Costs:
$708 + HST for a family of 2 (1 adult & 1 child)
(children must be age 5+ to attend)
Additional Family Members can be added for $150 + HST
Here’s the breakdown and what’s Included:
* 2 nights accommodations for you and your family
* 6 delicious chef-prepared meals and a variety of snacks throughout the day. You definitely won’t go hungry!
* workshops and sessions of your choosing on a variety of topics. All materials are included
* evening activities both nights that is bound to be filled with fun, laughter and adventure
* a gift to commemorate your fabulous weekend and much more!
Location
Our Family Retreat will be held at Camp Iawah located in Godfrey Ontario, right between Ottawa and Kingston. It sits tucked the shores of Wolfe Lake and surrounded by acres of pristine wilderness. This camp is open year round and features a variety of lodges, cabins and tabins depending on the season. With fantastic facilities and a range of activities including Indoor Rock Climbing, Archery, Snow Tubing, Skating, Low Ropes and Sports Fields, Iawah is the perfect escape no matter the season. Each family will have their own private room in a lodge building.
Mouth-Watering Food
The Camp’s very own chefs will provide amazing, nutritious and delicious meals throughout the weekend with both healthy and indulgent options! Meals will include incredible homemade baked goods, vegetarian options and a delicious salad bar.
Please be sure to inform us of any food allergies/intolerances or health issues you feel we should be aware of well before arriving at camp. Our incredible chef and his staff can satisfy all special dietary needs, as long as we know in advance.
Parents – Some wine will be available during the evenings but feel free to bring your own beverages for consumption in your cabin if you wish. No alcohol will be sold at these events.
What To Pack
Typical weather in February can include cool days and snow! Be sure to bring a warm outdoor clothing for night-time campfires as well as a extra dry clothes in case you get wet!
How To Get There
Camp Iawah is located in Godfrey, Ontario, half way between Kingston and Ottawa. Surrounded by forest and lakes, the drive here is spectacular.
